When a lesson has a tutor attached, every conversation a student has with that tutor inside the lesson is saved alongside their submission. You can read the whole thing. This is available in every Mindjoy organisation.
Opening a student's lesson chat
1. Open the classroom from the Classrooms list in the sidebar.
2. Go to the Assignments tab.
3. Click the assignment containing the lesson you want.
4. Go to the Lessons tab and select the lesson.
5. Find the student in the list and click the message icon on their row. Their conversation opens in a panel.
The message icon only appears on lessons that have a tutor attached, because there is no conversation to read otherwise. If a conversation was picked up by our moderation system, the icon turns red and the tooltip tells you so.
What you can see in the conversation
The panel shows the full exchange, including any images the student uploaded and a short pill for each tool the tutor used, such as searching its knowledge base or writing on the whiteboard. Anything the moderation system flagged is labelled with the reason.
Tutor chats outside a lesson
Tutors assigned to a classroom on their own, rather than inside a lesson, are read from the classroom's Tutors tab instead. See How to view student chat history.
Note: Student chat history is on by default in every Mindjoy organisation. If your organisation has asked us to keep student chats private, these views are switched off for everyone.
