Tutor Chat Suggestions

After your tutor responds to a question, you may see suggested follow-up prompts appear below the response. These suggestions are generated by AI based on the conversation so far, and they help you explore the topic further or ask related questions without having to think of what to type next.

How suggestions work

1. Send a message to your tutor and wait for the response.

2. After the tutor finishes responding, one or more suggestion buttons appear below the response. Each button contains a follow-up question or prompt related to what you just discussed.

3. Click any suggestion to send it as your next message. The tutor will respond to it just as if you typed it yourself.

When do suggestions appear?

Suggestions appear automatically after most tutor responses. They are designed to help you:

  • Dive deeper into a concept the tutor just explained

  • Ask for examples or practice problems

  • Explore related topics

  • Request clarification on something you did not fully understand

Suggestions refresh after each response - you will see new ones that are relevant to the latest part of your conversation.

Tips

  • Suggestions are optional - you can always type your own message instead

  • If no suggestions appear, it may be because the tutor's response naturally concluded the topic

  • Suggestions can include mathematical expressions and formulas when relevant to the subject
