1. Navigate to your tutor

2. Click on "Settings"

3. Scroll down to look for the Socratic mode toggle and then click to activate it

4. Once activated, click "Save Changes"

5. Click "Chat" to go back to the chat window, to begin testing how the feature works with your tutor

6. Click "New Chat"
Even if you had a previously ongoing chat, it is absolutely advisable to start a new chat after you've made changes to your tutor settings

7. Click into the chat box to start adding text

8. If you've set up Socratic mode correctly, your tutor should be asking probing questions with every interaction instead of direct answers.
