Mindjoy uses editors mainly for creating or editing Pathways content, focusing on basic editor functionality.

This article covers the Legacy editor. Lessons built in the New editor work differently. To write and format lesson content in the New editor, see Inserting content with the slash and plus menus. New to the difference between the two? Start with The new lesson experience.

Mindjoy uses editors in a number of places, chief amongst these is in the creation or editing of Pathways content. Let's take a look at the basic functionality available to us in the editor.

1. In the editor you can add content just like any standard text editor, click in the whitespace to being typing.

2. Select text to apply styles to it.

3. H1, H2 and H3 are different levels of headings, apply them to the selected text by clicking on the button.

4. Apply styles like Bold, and Italic by selecting text and clicking on the relevant icons.

5. Add bullet lists and numbered lists by selecting their icons from the toolbar. Don't forget to hit save!
