Longer jobs, like building a lesson, carry on in the background. You do not have to sit and watch, and you do not have to stay on the agent page. When the work lands, you are told.
Notifications
A notification appears when a job finishes, reading something like "Grade 9 forces lesson" is ready. If the agent got partway and needs a decision from you, it says needs your input instead. Either way there is a View action that takes you straight to the conversation.
These follow you around the app, so you will hear about a finished lesson while you are in a classroom or a gradebook. The one exception is the conversation you are already looking at, which stays quiet because you can see it finish for yourself.
Unread markers in chat history
If you miss a notification, the work is not lost. Chat History marks conversations that need your attention:
A blue dot means there is a finished reply you have not read.
An amber ring means the agent paused and needs your input.
A spinner means it is still working.
Opening a conversation clears its marker, and the conversation keeps its place in the list rather than jumping to the top.
It survives a reload
Markers are remembered for your account, not just your current tab, so they are still there after a refresh, in a new tab, or on another device. Closing your laptop mid-job is fine: the work carries on and the notification arrives when it is done.
Only genuine completions and pauses notify you. A job you cancelled will not.
