The Educator Agent can edit a lesson you already have, not just build a new one. You can ask for changes in a normal chat, or work with the agent from inside the lesson editor. Either way, edits made in the New editor are shown to you for review before they become part of the lesson.
Asking for changes
Open a lesson in the New editor and open the agent panel, or reference the lesson from an agent chat. Then describe the change you want. For example: "Add two multiple choice questions after the section on tides" or "Rewrite the introduction so it is friendlier for Year 8."
The agent works through your request and applies the changes to the lesson.
Reviewing the agent's edits
Once the agent has finished editing, a card appears reading "The agent edited this lesson". While the edits are waiting for your review, the editor is locked and you cannot publish, so nothing reaches students until you have decided.
Click Accept to keep the changes. The editor unlocks and you can carry on editing or publish.
Click Decline to undo them. The lesson is restored to how it was before the agent's edits.
Any student responses that were already submitted are kept safe through this process, so reviewing edits never affects work students have already done.
Publishing your changes
Accepting the edits does not publish them on its own. When you are happy with the lesson, publish it in the usual way so students see the latest version. See The new lesson experience for how publishing and versioning work.
