The Whiteboard is a visual canvas where the Student Agent can create images, diagrams, and flowcharts to help explain concepts. You can ask for visuals directly in your conversation.
Requesting visual content
Ask the Agent to create visuals by including words like "draw", "diagram", "visualise", or "create an image" in your message. For example:
"Draw a diagram of the water cycle"
"Create a flowchart showing how photosynthesis works"
"Visualise the structure of a plant cell"
How visuals are generated
When you ask for a visual, the Agent starts generating it. You will see a loading indicator in the chat while the image is being created. This can take up to a minute depending on complexity.
Viewing your visuals
Once the image is ready, it appears inline in your conversation. On wider screens, a Whiteboard panel also opens on the right side showing a larger view of the image, with a thumbnail gallery at the bottom.
The Agent also provides a written explanation alongside the visual, breaking down the key parts of what it created.
Interacting with visuals
You can interact with the visuals in several ways:
Click any visual in the chat to see it in the expanded Whiteboard panel
Download images using the download button at the top of the panel
Browse all visuals from the conversation using the thumbnail gallery at the bottom of the panel
Navigate between visuals using the left and right arrow buttons
Types of visual content
The Agent can create three types of visual content:
Images - Generated illustrations and diagrams like the water cycle example above
Mermaid diagrams - Flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and other structured diagrams
Interactive HTML - Custom visual explanations
Voice Mode and visuals
You can also request visuals while using Voice Mode. Simply ask the Agent to create a diagram or image in your spoken conversation, and the visual will appear in the chat and Whiteboard panel.
