You can do a whole lesson on your phone: read it, answer the questions, submit it and read your feedback.

Open Classrooms from the menu and tap your class. Each class has three places to look.

In Assignments, the Open tab is work you can still do and Closed is work that has been shut. A card shows how far through you are, and how long is left.

Some assignments are a pathway, which is a few lessons in order. Tap it and you see the steps, each marked as completed, in progress or not started.

A lesson opens on the Lesson tab. Use Next and Back at the bottom to move through it, and the counter between them tells you where you are.

The Outline tab lists everything in the lesson so you can jump straight to a part. If your teacher has added a tutor to the lesson, there is also a Chat tab where you can ask it for help without leaving the page.

Questions are marked with how many marks they are worth. Depending on how your teacher set the lesson up, you might move page by page or one block at a time. Both work the same way.

For a written answer you get a formatting bar above the keyboard, a maths editor for equations, and a button to attach a photo, an image or a document to your answer. That is useful when the working is easier to photograph than to type.

When you have finished, submit the lesson. The banner at the top then says your work is in and waiting for your teacher.

Your work saves as you go, so you can close the app and come back to it.

When feedback appears depends on how your teacher set up the lesson. Some lessons show it straight away, some when you submit, and some only once your teacher has returned your work. Open the lesson again to read it.

The Insights button at the top of a submitted lesson shows what your answers suggest about how you are learning. If nothing has been worked out yet it says so, which usually just means your teacher has not returned the work.
