You can use Mindjoy on your phone or tablet. Everything you do in the app is the same account and the same work as the website, so a lesson you start on a laptop carries on where you left off.
The screenshots in this collection come from an Android phone. The app looks the same on an iPhone or iPad. Where the two really differ, it is called out.
Before you start
You need a Mindjoy account, and you need to be in at least one class. Both of those happen on the website:
If you have not made your account yet, sign up in a browser first.
If your teacher gave you a join code or a join link, use it in a browser.
You cannot create an account or join a class from inside the app.
Download the app
iPhone or iPad: open the App Store and search for Mindjoy.
Android phone or tablet: open Google Play and search for Mindjoy.
Sign in
Open the app and tap Log in.
A secure browser window opens on the Mindjoy sign-in page. Sign in the way you normally do: your email address and password, or the Google or Microsoft button if that is how your school signs you in.
If you are already signed in to Mindjoy in that browser, you may go straight through without typing anything. Once it is done, the window closes by itself and you land back in the app.
Choose your organisation
If you belong to more than one organisation, the app asks which one you want.
Tap the one you want to use. You can switch at any time in your settings, so it does not matter if you pick the wrong one now.
You are in
Home greets you by name, offers a chat with your agent, and lists what has been assigned to you recently.
If the app asks you to update
Now and then the app will ask you to update before you can carry on. Tap Update and it takes you to the right place: the App Store on an iPhone or iPad, Google Play on an Android device. Install the update and open Mindjoy again.
