Restoring something from the trash

Deleted a lesson, pathway, tutor or folder? Get it back from the trash.

Written by Kat Morgan

Deleting from your library is not immediate and permanent. Lessons, pathways, tutors and folders all go to the trash first, which means a mis-click on a Friday afternoon is a recoverable mistake.

You will see a confirmation when something moves, for example "Lesson moved to trash".

Confirmation that a lesson has been moved to the trash

Getting something back

Open Trash in the Library section of the sidebar, find the item, and restore it. It returns to the folder it came from.

The Library trash

Each library has its own trash

You look at one trash at a time. If you are a member of shared libraries, use the switcher at the top to move between your own trash and each shared library's trash. Deleting something from a shared library puts it in that library's trash, not your personal one, so a colleague can restore it too.

A note on tutors

Deleting a tutor now sends it to the trash like anything else, so a tutor you removed by accident can be brought back with its knowledge base intact.
