Mindjoy sends in-app notifications to keep you informed about activity across your classrooms, lessons, and tutors. Notifications appear in the Inbox in the sidebar, with an unread count badge showing how many new items are waiting.
Opening the Inbox
Click Inbox in the sidebar to open the notification panel. Each notification shows who triggered it, what happened, and when. Unread notifications are marked with a coloured dot.
From the Inbox you can:
Click a notification to act on it (view the lesson, open the classroom, review the moderation event)
Filter to show Only unread using the toggle at the top
Use the more menu to Mark all as read or Archive all
What you get notified about
Moderation alerts
When a student triggers content moderation in a tutor chat or while working on a lesson, you receive a notification showing which student, which moderation category was flagged (e.g., profanity, violence), and a link to review the interaction.
Collaboration invites
When another educator shares a lesson, pathway, or classroom with you, a notification lets you know and links directly to the shared resource.
New organisation members
Organisation administrators receive a notification when a new educator joins the organisation.
Real-time updates
Notifications arrive in real time. The unread count in the sidebar updates immediately when something happens, without needing to refresh the page.
Email digest
You can opt in to receive a daily email summarising your unread notifications from the past 24 hours.
Go to Settings > Email preferences and toggle Send me a daily digest email of my notifications.
The digest includes up to 10 of your most recent unread notifications. Individual notifications are not sent as separate emails.
