Sometimes you'll want to change a question after students have already submitted responses. Perhaps there was a mistake, or the mark scheme needed a bit of adjusting. No problem! Just follow the instructions below to update your question and remark student submissions.
1. Navigate to the question in your lesson that you'd like to change.
2. You should see an alert saying that your question has already received submissions.
3. Make the changes to your question, mark allocation or mark scheme and click "save".
4. Navigate to the classroom you'd like to remark the question for and find the relevant pathway. Click on the pathway.
5. Click "Lessons"
6. Click "View Lesson"
7. You'll see a notification with an option to remark the question. Click "Re-mark affected questions".
8. Review which questions will be remarked and click "Remark" when you're ready.
9. Your question is now being remarked in the background! This could take a few minutes if there are a large number of questions.
Re-marking in the new lesson experience
Re-marking is not limited to long answers. If you change the marks or the correct answer on a multiple choice, select all correct, match or resequence question after students have submitted, those submissions are flagged and re-marking updates the marks awarded.
Changing only the wording of a question or an option does not flag anything, so you can fix a typo without prompting a re-mark.
