Lessons are comprised of blocks of content, let's take a look at how you can add an auto marking free response question to your Lessons, this kind of block can mark a written question just like an educator would - including giving feedback to the student for improvement.
1. Click "Add block"
2. Click "Free response"
3. First add the text of your question by clicking the Question editor.
4. Write or paste your question. Don't forget that you can use all the same editor tools as you're used to.
5. Set the maximum amount of marks available for the question.
6. Click in the Mark scheme box to add in your marking guidance.
Tip: Mark scheme's work best if you give the same kind of detail you'd give to a human to be able to mark the answers accurately. Be explicit with what you want it to do, especially if you have negative marking such as requiring correct spellings of ket words, etc.
7. With your mark scheme entered it's now time to save the question.
8. Click "Preview question" to test out the marking.
9. in the answer editor and write in an example answer to test the marking.
10. You can even upload images or pdfs of hand written work. Once your answer's in the editor simply click 'Submit'.
