Free response questions have built in human-like auto marking, but when you give that feedback will be different for different kinds of lessons and use cases. In this guide we'll look at how to change that up.
1. From the Lesson Editor simply click on the Feedback type drop down menu to select a different mode.
Tip: The three modes are:
1. On Return: Holds back all feedback until an educator manually moderated and returns the marking, useful for high stakes testing.
On Submission: Gives all the feedback to a lesson once the student has completed and submitted the entire lesson, useful for low stakes testing.
Instant: Each question give marks and feedbacks the moment the student saves their response, useful for assessing understanding during learning.
2. Select the mode you'd like to use, this applies to the entire lesson.
Tip: No need to click Save - this setting applies the moment it is selected.
