You can hand in a photo or a PDF as your answer, which is the easiest way to submit working you did on paper.

In the answer box, click the + button and choose your file. You can also drag one in, or paste an image.

To photograph something with your phone, use Upload from phone and scan the QR code. The photo lands straight in your answer.

Apple photos are usually HEIC rather than JPEG. You do not need to do anything: they are converted when they upload, so they display and mark properly.

Uploaded work is read so it can be marked, and you can check that reading under File transcription before you submit. See Answering with images, drawings or maths.
