One of the most impactful things that an Educator can do in Mindjoy is run assessments that utilise auto marking, and generate Insights that can be used to understand how students' learning has transpired. Let's take a quick run through one method for setting up and administering assessments.

1. Start by finding your way to the Pathways page.

2. Click "New pathway"

3. Give your Pathway a meaningful name.

4. Click "Create pathway"

5. Click "Add a new lesson"

6. Click "Start with AI"

7. Click "Next"

8. Click "Click or drag and drop to upload" and add in a PDF of the content you'd like to use as the basis for your Assessment.

9. Click "Assess".

Tip: The Assess mode will generate a series of questions, increasing in complexity, based on the content you upload. It uses a combination of depth of answer and Bloom's taxonomy to vary the complexity of the questions.

10. Click "Generate Lesson"

11. Click "Continue"

12. Next we need to choose how the AI feedback and marking is returned to the students, for a formal assessment On Return allows the Educator to review and moderate the marking before manually returning it to the students.

13. Take time to review the generated questions and mark schemes to ensure that you are happy with them. Make any changes, reorder and delete any you'd like.

14. Click "Back to pathway"

15. Click "Assign"

16. Tick the box next to the Classroom you'd like to assign the assessment to.

17. Click "Optional settings" to set a start and due date.

18. Set the exact date and time that the assessment should be completed by.

Tip: At this point your assessment is live, the next set of instructions explain how to access and use the results and Insights.

19. Select the classroom that you assigned the assessment to.

20. Click "Pathways"

21. Click "Submissions" on the Pathway you set.
