A research classroom is for when you intend to publish or formally analyse what happens in your teaching. Students are asked to give explicit, informed consent for their data to be used that way, we track who has and has not consented, and you can request a full structured data set of the classroom from us.
You do not need a research classroom simply to read your students' conversations with a tutor. That is available in every classroom in every Mindjoy organisation, and is on by default. See How to view student chat history.
1. Click "Classrooms"
2. Click "New classroom"
3. Click the "Name" field and give it a descriptive name.
4. Turn on the Research Classroom toggle.
5. Click the "Research motivation document" and upload a pdf to describe the research to your students.
6. Pick a starting date.
7. And an end date for this classroom.
8. Click this button to acknowledge the requirements of the research classroom.
9. Click "Save"
